This item MUST be used with a litter pan inside. This item is not watertight or intended to contain liquids. If your pet misses the box or has a history of spraying, we recommend using a high sided litter pan and or caulking the unit at the base of the wall panels where the walls meet the floor panel to prevent leaking.
