- Feed along with at least 1.5% of the animal's body weight in good-quality forage (15 lbs hay for 1000-lb animal,1.5 lbs hay for 100-lb animal)
- Feeding rates may vary with age, size, temperament, health status, climate, forage quality and activity level.
- Always provide adequate forage and clean, fresh water.
- If not feeding sheep, a specie-specific vitamin/mineral supplement containing copper is highly recommended
